The EPMU's Postal and Logistics Industry is the section of the EPMU that represents more than six thousand New Zealand workers in areas including mail processing and mail sorting work, delivery, Postshops, Kiwibank, parcel sorting, logistics, express and road transport.

The EPMU is the biggest union in the postal industry and its postal and logistics operations are directed by the P&L Industry Council which is comprised of EPMU members from a cross section of the companies we cover in the industry from around New Zealand.

Main employers

The largest of our employers is New Zealand Post and its subsidiary companies such as Kiwibank but we also have members at non-NZ Post companies such as DHL, Toll Logistics and NZ Couriers. The EPMU's biggest postal and logistics collective employment agreement is the Red Book which covers four and a half thousand New Zealand Post workers and is also the EPMU's largest single-employer CEA.

Industry Direction

The big issue for 2008 is the re-negotiation of the Red Book and moving to grow the EPMU's membership in the logistics sector.
