The EPMU's Food Industry is the section of the EPMU that represents 3000 New Zealand workers in areas including dairy, fruit and vegetable processing, sheep and beef processing, baking and brewing. Food manufacturing provides over a quarter of the total amount of full time employment in manufacturing.
